Opinion for B2B: A very useful blog and newsletter to discover news on the Alibaba conglomerate and insights into China commerce. Obviously the blog depicts a “beautiful” world of Chinese commerce and Alibaba. However it is a great source of insights on the complete different logic of China commerce.

News 2: Zhihu — the new newcomer

When a Chinese company considers entering the New York stock exchange, then it is always worth to discover: the newcomer is Zhihu. Zhihu is a question-and-answer site that has been growing fast in China, with 76 million users and 2.5 million paying subscribers. It is often compared to US site Quora. Opinion for B2B: We regularly discover Chinese newcomers on this news blog. Zhihu is an odd one — with doubt on freedom of expression in such a site. They have a column for writers with the headline “write freely, express freely”. In that sense, this IPO filing is an interesting one — they will have to open books.
