A flagship store with digital spa — EE

British telco EE (BT) has a new flagship store in London Westfield mall with different areas: gaming, working, charging etc. New concept: digital wellness, an AR tool/ application introducing to different options on how to “activate” digital wellness. An assisted experience with a low-lit sensory room lined with screens, featuring guided meditation sessions and more. Opinion: The new store opened end of June 2023. Flagship store with experiences beyond just showcasing products, caring for visitor’s mental health.

Mental health as central concept, they call it a digital Spa.

MyBeing by Cannabotech — a fancy pharmacy

Cannabotech is a biotechnology company that develops botanical-based medical solutions. “Trendy” ingredients like CBD and functional mushrooms processsed into cremes and drops, stimulating both physical and mental health. Opinion: In London store at the Westfield mall (the place of many concept stores) an AI face scan that analyses skin conditions, stress levels, then suggests treatments. The AI face scanning takes place on an interactive screen, then showing product details on a hologram-like interactive table.

A very fancy digital pharmacy.

M&M — many experiences on 4 floors — always fascinating

M&M store off Leisecter Square is a “classic”. 4 floors and always with product, merch and (digital) experience. People visiting the shop can print their own M&Ms with both pictures and text. On the second floor customers can have their face and body scanned — and then get the “M&M that matches the mood”. There are various photo booths provided, customers can pocket good memories afterwards. A fascinating and colourful experience. Opinion: While product still is the main focus, customer experiences in-store are the main “show” in this store. Always personalisable, in the literal way by printing ones face on the chocolate drops. Or more indirectly by “mood-matching” M&M colours after a face and body scan.
