News 1. Cofenster, a window? No, a video software for enterprise
Fenster is a window in German and the name of this star-up gives a hint on what they do. A software to easily produce video for internal communication in enterprises. Just gathered €8 million, less than a year after founding the company. Opinion: The video software is tiered to specific enterprise use cases like employer branding, knowledge transfer, recruiting, leadership statement. One can discover a video school on the site, and it is so tough to produce good videos (we know that at Space and Lemon Innovations). Altogether a very large bet from investor for a €8m ticket after 1 year of existence. But a clear niche, and a thought-through sales pitch.

News 2. Challenger bank for GenZ called Pockid
Pockid sounds like pocket — pocket money. And this is the base of a new challenger bank that rose in the last 12 months. A bank for the GenZ generation. Fundings of €4m came from Cavalry and Vorwerk ventures, last November. Opinion: We have featured Pockid in many digital trend radars for our clients — as a niche positioning (a generation, GenZ) and the creativity to imagine functions for that niche. In Pockid case bound with a fun, open minded marketing that can be seen best on TikTok. Founders pushed the concept so enthusiastically, so that the place of new generation banking belongs to them.

News 3. Kumi Health visible growth
Kumi Health is a typical start-up in scale-up mode. Kumi is a digital platform for hospitals, digitalising processes like patient record feed, secure chat for health professionals, calendar and staff organisation. Processes that have been done on paper for ages in clinics. This digital process transformation is subsidised by the German government and Kumi has the right package at the right moment. Opinion: Kumi has been our neighbour at co-working space Betahaus Hamburg for long and in 2021 came into a scale-up process. Adding many employees every month. Winning hospital clients. And a very well-designed new logo in 2021.
We have seen our direct neighbour growing fast — good luck for the next scaling phases.
