Posh AI for posh bankers?
Today’s news is around strange names, ironic even. Posh AI is one of them and in the news with a new funding of $45m. In total $72.5m for three distinctive AI-based conversation software, exclusively trained for banking. 1/ Voice assistant for customers, mainly FAQ 2/ Digital assistants for customers, to help them navigate in digital properties, and 3/ employee assistant, retrieving knowledge from a database. Opinion: Posh AI is tackling this very smartly. Always calibrating the use cases, so that the machine can bring good results. Closed use cases, again: voice FAQ, assist for website and employees knowledge help centre. This is the key to a successful introduction of AI-based assistants — they need to be well-scoped so that the experience is positive (customers’ feedback and evaluation invest/return).
Posh, but smart!
Get lazy with Lazy AI
Lazy AI is a software and a site where developers can build web apps by just writing prompts. A small but very active community of developers use this tool and share their developments with others. Obviously the name says it all, Lazy AI. Opinion: Indeed a small company. It’s not clear where they are based. On a discord channel (13 of them) for sure. Still, this is the dream of all non-developers: develop software by just writing prompts. With Gen AI we’re getting closer and closer to this. Lazy AI is another proof of this.
Getlazy.com, this is a great promise in an URL.
Can a phone be dumb?
Yes, it can. This is a paradox when phones are getting smarter — see the latest announcements around iOS 18 with so many new smart features and intelligence. Dumb phones are there just to call and message. No apps, no web, no social network, no push notifications. This has become a market, a niche market. Opinion: Heineken and Bodega (US marketplace) launched a common promotion dumb phone, called The Boring Phone. With the headline “There’s more to social life than your phone”. It says it.
Do you believe in the dumb phone market growing or just a 2024 hype full of promotion and irony?
