News 1: Virtual congress with avatars — Teemew

Teemew stands for “we meet” the other way around and is a virtual congress tool. Like in a game, build an avatar and enter a constructed area, a trade fair for example. An area with coffee stand, meeting room, sales booth, auditorium. Replicates a profession trade fair, with up to 1.500 participants. Teemew was recently launched by Paris-based Manzalab, originally specialised on corporate education. Opinion for B2B: Teemew is a mind-blowing experience — a perfect virtual twin of a “congress”. Playing side presentation, organising meeting with other professionals, and the avatars are good… impersonal enough.

A very good discovery in this pot-pourri!

News 2: Believe, a winner in streaming times

Believe is not a traditional start-up recently founded and VCs all around — it was launched in 2005 and is a platform for independent artists to build and monetise audience on streaming and social media channels. With the rise of music streaming the Believe platform has massively grown (25% in Q1 2021). And goes public on the Paris stock exchange. Opinion for B2B: Believe publishes results before IPO — strong growth and losses. But a very promising company in a time where many independent artists and labels can grow on music streaming platforms. And a distribution and marketing platform for that — Believe.

Long live indie music!

News 3: Record funding for Contentsquare

Paris-based Contentsquare just “landed” a record $500m invest by Softbank Vision Fund 2. Contentsquare is an elaborated analytics platform for websites and online shops with insights from trillions of data points. The key selling point is the “understandability” of the analytics — easy terms, light dashboard. Opinion for B2B: The financing rounds add up to $810m with the usual French investors like BPI France in the first rounds. BPI France is a central mighty fund for french start-ups, above all in deep-tech (Contentsquare is an exception).

A discovery as well, Contentsquare is seldom present in Germany, hence the more invest — develop internationally.
