Guesty is a whole suite of software tools for owners of rental vacation homes (mainly Airbnb). Bookings, messages and revenues from all vacation booking platforms (Airbnb, Booking.com etc.) are unified in Guesty which allows vacation home landlords to list their property on multipiple platforms and make more revenue. Opinion: Automation of repetitive tasks (e.g. emails to guests, ordering cleaning service etc.) is important for vacation property landlords. Guesty has a whole range of automation tools.

News 2: VTS — data and management suite for commercial real estate investors

VTS is a data and management suite for commercial landlords to make data based decisions and tenant management. Tools along the whole rental process, virtual real estate tours, negotiation, letter of intent, tenant management dashboard. Opinion: Backed by giants in the commercial real estate industry, Brookfield and CBRE, VTS raised new $125m (total $312m VC funding) funding in September.

Lots of action and big funding for commercial real estate tech.

News 3: Bidrento — $800m seed funding (or not)

Bidrento is a management software for landlords of apartments, co-living and student housing. With a whitelabel app for tenants, can be set up and designed by the landlord. Finding an apartment, contract signing, moving in onboarding and day-to-day management of the rental unit is in the app. Opinion: Came onto SLI radar by $800m funding announced on Crunchbase. $800m seed funding for an Estonian startup sounds too much to be true, turns out it’s actually (a more realistic) 800k seed funding for Bidrento.
