Promethean AI is in the newest batch of Disney Accelerator (with ElevenLabs we reported about). An assistant for creation of images, videos, and 3D animations. Add an image or a sequence in a video, mix 3D files or build a complete scene. Above all for game creation. Opinion: Promethean is a titan that defied the god in stealing fire. Well, this is where the analogy stops — Promethean AI takes on the power of creating scenes, art, architecture, and games much faster. This is worth it for Disney.

Epic Games, the editor of Fortnite, has been one of the first “recruits” of Disney Accelerator. 10 years later Disney now commits an investment of $1,5 billion ($7,9b in total funding and secondary market). The Disney franchise will be extended in games, developed and published by Epic Games. Opinion: Interesting to look at the investors in Epic games again. Tencent (always strong, even in mini-games), Sony (Playstation), KKR (investment institution), and Disney Accelerator + in February 2024 Disney itself.

Even in autonomous vehicles like Nuro

Nuro isn’t the most reported company in the AV (Autonomous Vehicle) sphere. However, they silently gathered $2,1 billion since founding in 2016. Disney is part of it. It is above all a technology “Nuro Driver”, developed on an AI-first framework ensuring rapid improvement for perception and behaviour systems. Opinion: Nuro vehicles are in test in two areas, San Francisco Bay area and Houston. Just as a proof of concept, the value of the company lies in the tech — mapping, perception, and behaviour.
